Black forest material
Have finally finished the latest quilt (pictures will be forthcoing), so went out and spent my morning waiting in line at Spotlight to buy material for a big (queen sized) quilt for our bedroom. Was aiming for kinda brown/burnt red/cream combinations but ended up with this selection of pinks, reds, browns and creams. So it's going to be the black forest cherry cake quilt!
All colours will be used in equal proportions on the front, with the materials you can see more off to be made into long strips to put on the back of the quilt. Will do some ironing and cutting today, so will post some blocks later on hopefully.

mmm, black forest cake quilt... what design are you doing??
I'm still going on hand-quilting circles. I'm about 3/4 finished, I think. Calico has taken to snuggling into and under the quilt while I'm quilting which somewhat hampers my efforts.
